Impact Photo’s Ed and Molly Kempf have been shooting Corridor weddings, families and special events since 1977, and they’ve recently introduced several new products, including Virtual Photos for large groups, Family Personality Panoramics merging action and posed photos, and “Click ‘n’ Share,” which sends any photo including a person’s image to their cell phone within 30 seconds using facial recognition. The business picked up its “Joe Photo” moniker while covering parties and events for fraternities and sororities at the University of Iowa. “When they wanted a photo taken, they would just yell, ‘Joe Photo!’,” owner and president Ed Kempf recalled. “From then on, we were known as Impact Photo in Cedar Rapids and Joe Photo in Iowa City.” Since then, the business has made a name for itself in the region, thanks to its hard-to-miss truck and its unique offerings. “We have enough people that we could shoot five special events at the same time,” Mr. Kempf said. “We stay really busy.” 1st RUNNER UP: Corridor Home Photos 2nd RUNNER UP: Monawar Studios
