CLA, this year’s Best Accounting Firm, is committed to creating opportunities for its clients, people and communities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, through virtual consults CLA staff members were able to help clients implement scenario planning, take advantage of economic relief funding and adapt to remote work according to David Little, principal, CLA. CLA offered innovative tools and forgiveness packages to help borrowers tackle the complex calculations related to the Paycheck Protection Program. CLA Intuition 2.0, a financial scenario modeling program designed specifically to help with the extraordinary issues raised as a result of COVID-19, was also introduced. This new program empowers users to see how the moves they make today may affect their financial trajectory as circumstances change. “Operationally, CLA is fortunate to have created a contingency plan before the pandemic began. The plan was used to help guide difficult decisions vs. reacting emotionally. Financially speaking, when the pandemic began, CLA moved quickly to provide clients with new, innovative strategies to maintain their businesses and organizations while managing the fallout of COVID-19,” said Mr. Little. 1st runner up: BerganKDV 2nd runner up: Latta Harris
