A soon-to-be-finished development near the future UIHC North Liberty hospital will be home to at least three confirmed businesses, including Barrel House.
The multi-tenant retail buildings, at 3220 Redhawk St. and 3230 Redhawk St. respectively, will include Barrel House, Pure Barre and Treadmill Heroes in the north building. The businesses are expected to open in the spring or summer.
Barrel House is a Davenport-based American pub-styled restaurant serving burgers, sandwiches, pizza, beers, margaritas and more, with locations in Dubuque, Des Moines and Marion.

The restaurant opened a Cedar Rapids location May 2022 and the Marion location December 2021.
Barrel House owner Jimmy Holt helped break ground on the Coralville development in May.
Pure Barre is a fitness studio with group classes offering "total-body workouts focused on low impact, high-intensity movements," according to its website. The studio has locations in Cedar Rapids, as of August 2021, and Des Moines.
Fitness equipment repair, delivery and installation shop Treadmill Heroes will round out the businesses in the north building. In addition to its new Coralville store, it has two locations in Wilton and a store in Bettendorf.
The south building has no tenants lined at the momemnt but GLD Commercial Principal Adam Gibbs said the building has drive-through capability, so "we anticipate a quick service restaurant to occupy the north endcap," he said in an email to the CBJ.
GLD's nearly 15,000-square-foot Coralville development was advanced during an April 26 Coralville City Council meeting.
Apartments under construction
965 Flats apartments is in phase two of its luxury apartment development.
Mr. Gibbs expects phase two, which will add 128 additional units to 3241 Redhawk St., should be completed by September or October, he said.

One bedroom, 600-square-feet apartments at 965 Flats currently goes for $1,348 a month. Residents have access to a heated swimming pool, fitness center and dog park.
In December 2019, 965 Flats bought land for its apartment development for $2.36 million. Since then, the assesed value of the land has more than quadrupled, according to information from the Johnson County Assesor's website.
There is one additional phase that will begin after completion of phase two.
