Art program open to grieving children, families

UnityPoint Hospice and Cedar Memorial have joined forces to offer a program to grieving children and their families.

The event, Virtual Cookies & Canvas, will give children an opportunity to express emotion and grief. Each registrant will create a painting guided by a group instructor from Cork N’ Canvas Iowa.

The event will be held 10-11:30 a.m. Nov. 6. Painting supplies, cookies and grief information will be available for pick-up Nov. 2-5 at the UnityPoint Hospice office. Because this event is virtual, participants will need access to an electronic device to participate. A computer/tablet is recommended.

To register,  UnityPoint Hospice at (319) 369-7744 or sign-up by emailing jamie.siela@unitypoint.org.
