You may be surprised to learn that Marion is now the 13th largest city by population in the state of Iowa.

Marion surpassed Cedar Falls in the most recent state population reports from the 2021 Population Estimates Program and 2020 American Community Survey, and now comprises an estimated 42,889 residents, up 63% from 2000.
