Lion Development Group owner Brandon Pratt was living in Florida when the housing market crashed in 2008, leading to the Great Recession and widespread unemployment. At the time, he was working for a publicly traded real estate company, which folded in the aftermath.
“I saw a lot of heartbreak, and a lot of families get absolutely hurt and crushed,” he said.
