What do you consider your “big break” in your career, so far? My “big break” hasn’t been one moment. It has been a culmination of lots of different experiences and good people willing to trust and invest in me.
What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why? Losing young, talented individuals to bigger cities. There are many ways to get involved and have fun right here in the Corridor. The cost of living, travel time, ability to make an impact and a powerful sense of community are all good reasons why living in a “little” big city is the way to go!
What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace? We value flexibility and want to feel appreciated for our input at our workplace. There are many of us who are hard workers and are eager to make a difference in our community.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you? I was painfully shy until I was about 20 years old.
What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50? I have a lot of fitness-related goals like running a marathon, completing a Spartan race, and to be in better shape than I am now. Go on a cruise, go skydiving and start checking off national park visits. Professionally, by 50 I hope to be mentoring others and be in a position to give back and help young women navigating through life’s challenges.
If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support? Junior Achievement, Junior League, Revival Theater Company and Central Furniture Rescue.
