ImOn Communication, LLC, announced on Tuesday, Oct. 25, that an additional 10,200 residential and business addresses in the western portion of Iowa City have been added to its high-speed fiber network.
According to a news release sent by the company, homes and businesses located west of the Iowa River, South of Melrose, East of Highway 218 and North of the Iowa City airport can now receive internet, video, and telephone service delivered by ImOn’s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband, the fastest communication service in Eastern Iowa.
“We are so pleased that these 10,000-plus additional Iowa City residents now have access to ImOn’s high speed reliable broadband services,” said Geoff Fruin, City Manager of Iowa City in the release. “We are looking forward to ImOn completing their Iowa City expansion early next year, when all Iowa City residents will have access to their fiber-to-the-home broadband.”
The FTTH broadband solution uses the most advanced technology to deliver the fastest, most reliable broadband connection available; the advanced Wi-Fi solution allows customers to connect all mobile devices throughout their homes easily; and the company’s personal approach to customer care delivers fast, thorough solutions in hours vs. days or weeks, according to the release.
“The ImOn team is making great progress with our ambitious network expansion plan,” said Patrice Carroll, CEO of ImOn in the release. “The completion of these 10,000+ addresses represents a huge milestone. The team is already working hard in the Eastern portion of Iowa City and in Coralville to complete the remaining 2022 phase of ImOn’s plan. The goal is to expand ImOn’s network to all addresses in Iowa City and Coralville by the end of 2023. We’re looking forward to a long future of serving and supporting Iowa City and Coralville in the ImOn way.”
