What’s the best advice you ever received?
Do the most difficult task or the one you dread the most first. It will end up being much worse and waste more of your time if you procrastinate.

What do you know now that you wish you had known earlier in your career?
That not everyone is going to like me all of the time.  Sometimes the best decision is not always the most popular one.

How do you ensure a balance between work and your personal life?
When you love what you do, work and personal life overlap. Both are priorities, and I work for and with fantastic people, including a supportive husband, that back me in my endeavors.

What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace?
I do not like when we try to categorize people within segments/generations. I believe everyone has their own preferences and motivators and in order to lead people we need to know the individual.

If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support?
Community/economic development is my profession and my passion. I would use the money to support downtown revitalization in the communities that I have lived and worked in.

What is the biggest issue facing the Corridor?
Working regionally to continue to attract newcomers to live, work and play here.

What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?
I hope to have raised three happy, healthy children, accomplished many adventures with my family, assisted in growing the region, and I hope I have continued to grow and advance professionally.
