The Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association recognized several builders and remodelers at its 2026 Parade of Homes Awards Breakfast, honoring achievement in craftsmanship, energy efficiency and industry collaboration.
Navigate Homes received the award for most energy-efficient homes entered in the HERS Program. Sueppel’s Building & Remodeling earned a HERS score of 36 on its Parade entry, a level of efficiency the association said is projected to save homeowners approximately $3,833 annually in utility costs.
Ralston Eco Homes is showcasing a Passive House in the Parade of Homes in Swisher, which the association described as an example of advanced building science, comfort, durability and energy performance.
Builders Excellence Award winners were recognized across four price categories: Sueppel’s Student Built House in the under $500,000 category; H&H Home Builders in the $500,000 to $750,000 category; Watts Group in the $750,000 to $1 million category; and Bedrock Builders in the $1 million and above category.
Watts Group also received the Motto Award, presented to the builder who involved the greatest number of Home Builders Association members in its Parade of Homes entry.
Halo Design received the inaugural Beyond the Blueprint Award, a new recognition created for projects the association said go beyond traditional residential design. The association called Halo Design’s achievement a testament to creativity, innovation and exceptional execution.
Kitchens By Design is sponsoring the 2026 People’s Choice Award. Parade visitors may cast votes for the award using their ticket number.
